You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. This is the last of the six string sonatas the 12-year old Rossini wrote in 1804 while staying in Ravenna. Originally scored for 2 violins, cello and double bass, they were later arranged by others as string quartets and rearranged as wind quintets. Utterly irresistible for their melodic charm and exuberance, I just had to arrange them for flutes. I have occasionally introduced a dialogue between Flutes 1 and 2 where Violin 1 in the original plays the whole line. Other than that, I have stayed as close to the original as possible. A lot of notes, but enormous fun for those who are on top of their scales.
