The school band offers an invaluable learning experience for budding young instrumentalists. Many of the world's best musicians started and then developed their ensemble playing in school orchestras and bands.

Popular ensembles for schools are concert / wind bands, brass groups, orchestras and percussion ensembles. Popular instruments played in school music groups are violin, cello, flute, clarinet, trumpet and percussion.

The most popular repertoire for school ensembles includes arrangements of film & TV soundtracks (think High School Musical, Glee, School Of Rock etc) and simple versions of current pop songs (think Kanye West, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa etc).
