Reverie, or Dreaming, composed in 1890, is an almost over-familiar early piano piece that has been pillaged by arrangers for almost every instrument, but almost always with piano accompaniment. In fact, it transfers, in the original key, perfectly for Flute Choir, though a swift glance at the piano score will reveal that I have (I hope unobtrusively) filled out certain harmonies, especially in bars 1-8. All parts in this arrangement have something interesting to do, but no part is particularly difficult. This should, I believe, prove a useful addition to the concert repertoire. It will be a certain winner with audiences.
