The little duets or duettinos, published as Trois Petits Duos pour Flute et Guitarre (Opus 191) by the celebrated guitarist and guitar composer Ferdinando Carulli, are relatively little known, overshadowed as they are by the more spectacular serenades and grand duos for the same combination. Yet they are predictably tuneful, great fun to play, and by no means difficult. I have made them more accessible by rearranging the guitar part for piano, on the grounds that there are usually more pianists around to play such things than there are competent classical guitarists.
