Three utterly delightful and melodious nocturnes, typical salon pieces of their period, originally for cello and guitar. In the present arrangement they make ideal concert pieces for alto flute, an instrument still sadly lacking in solo or duet repertoire. The guitar part has been considerably amplified for piano.
