The Holy City is one of the best known sacred songs in English from the late 1800s. It was written in 1882 by Stephen Adams. Actually, Stephen Adams is a pseudonym used for matters musical by Michael Maybrick (1844-1913). The Horsley String Quartet asked for an arrangement of this number, and I was glad to oblige.
