The third of the 3 duettinos or Trois Petits Duos pour flute et guitarre by the guitar virtuoso and composer, Ferdinando Carulli (op. 191). These works, though relatively unknown, are undemanding on the ear and delightfully tuneful. Flute 1 remains as in the original, and I have rearranged the guitar part for the 3 accompanying flutes, with flute 2 being slightly harder than flutes 3 and 4, both of which have to be largely content with remaining in their first octave. Nevertheless, the result is charming and great fun for an audience or for four flautists simply looking for something new to play.
