You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.Monti's thrilling Czardas, orginally for violin (or mandolin) and piano, has been arranged many times, and is occasionally played as a virtuosic display for descant (soprano) and piano, but this is the first arrangement for recorder ensemble. Although the focus is on the solo, descant, part, and the under-parts are largely rhythmically and harmonically supportive, I have shared some of the excitement amongst the lower parts. A csardas is a Hungarian Gypsy dance, so it is essential to listen to each other, to play with the dynamics and tempi (loads of rubato!), and relax into it. A superb concert piece or encore.
