In addition to composing some seven oboe concertos (two of which, in C and E flat, remain concert favourites), he also wrote for the flute. The Six Duets for Transverse Flutes, the first four of which I have arranged here, are nicely idiosyncratic, yet adapt well for recorders. The original keys are retained, though I have interchanged parts very occasionally where it seemed to suit recorders better to do so, and transposed up or down the octave where necessary. Tempo markings are my own. Copy text is the MS available in IMSLP. Where a double bar line appears, this should be regarded as a double bar line indicating repeats in the original. On one occasion I have retained the repeats; they may, of course, all be restored if players wish. There is loads here to keep fingers busy!
