In addition to composing some seven oboe concertos (two of which, in C and E flat, remain concert favourites), he also wrote for the flute. The Six Duets for Transverse Flutes are nicely idiosyncratic, yet adapt well for recorders. I have already uploaded nos 1-4 as duets for descant and treble. The final two - in G and E minor/major - suit treble and tenor better. The original keys are retained, though I have transposed up or down the octave where necessary. Tempo markings are my own; slurs and ornaments are as in the original. Copy text is the MS available in IMSLP. In addition, I have included no 6 transposed into the more natural key for the treble, F minor/major. The tenor part is an unusually active one for that usually retiring instrument.
