Five carols from Continental Europe arranged for recorder quartet with optional sopranino recorder. This set complements my Seven European Carols and Christmas Cradle Songs, also arranged for recorder quartet. The five carols are: the Catalan Veinticinco di diciembre (Fum! Fum! Fum!) and El Noi de la Mare (The Son of the Virgin); the Neapolitan Quando nascette Ninno (The Bagpipers' Carol); the Basque carol Birjina gaztettobat zegoen (The Angel Gabriel fro Heaven Came); and the popular Tyrolean carol. Es hat sich halt eroffnet ((It is opened, the heavenly gate). There is some tricky fingerwork for everyone, and no-one has a dud part. I do hope you enjoy playing them.
