A very talented ten-part brass ensemble is required for this challenging arrangement of Bach's popular D-minor concerto for two violins. The trumpeters take the lead in the outer movements, while the horn and trombones take the melodies in the second. Adapting difficult violin writing for brass instruments was a real test, resulting in some fiendish piccolo trumpet moments, but I've beta-tested the parts and they at least appear playable! Expression markings are at the discretion of the performers, and tempi are flexible.
