You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. This medieval tour-de-force is attributed to Johannes Ockeghem (c. 1410 - 1497) but his authorship is disputed.
It is here arranged for large brass choir consisting of four groups. The first group (sopranos in the original) should be trumpets, but the others could vary as follows:
Group 2 (Tenors): Horns or trombones (perhaps trumpets) Group 3 (Tenors): Horns or trombones Group 4 (Basses): Trombones or tubas
There are a great variety of potential performance methods, many of them utilising a large space such as a cathedral. In my arrangement, the players are to stand in a circle and the parts should be interspersed (i.e. trumpeter - horn - trombone - tuba). The canons work their way around the circle, and I have ordered the music in such a way that each canon is performed twice.
