'Sun God Ra!', is a collection of songs that follow the mythical journey of Ra as he makes his daily pilgrimage across the sky watching over his loyal Egyptian subjects. When night falls he enters the underworld where he does battle with the fierce snake like creature Apep . If he defeats the creature Ra is reborn and the following day will be bright and sunny, and everyone will be optimistic about its prospects. If, however, Ra is defeated, then storm clouds will blight the day and the omens will be dire.

'Khepri in the morning', is the fifth song in the collection and explains the various guises of Ra from his infancy in the morning, Khepri, through his midday manifestation as Ra, to his final appearance as Atum in the evening when he has reached old age. It also names several members of the crew of Ra's boat that navigates the passage across the sky every day. There is a section of rap in the last verse.
