Franz Schubert’s Ave Maria is often requested for weddings and funerals. This version features the cello as soloist. It can be played with a variety of instrumental and vocal combinations: string quartet (with the cello as soloist); voice and string quartet; voice, two violins and viola; piano quintet; voice and piano quintet; voice, piano, two violins and viola; cello and piano; and voice and piano. Two other versions of this, one featuring the violin as soloist, and the other featuring the viola as soloist, are also available on my website.
