After school teaching became a full time professional musician. Very broad musical experience - teacher of strings/brass/piano and organ - conductor/composer/arranger (inveterate! - up to 100 substantial pieces per annum) Now retired from public performance due to increasing ill health after nearly 40 years as Director of music at a thriving city Parish church. Past experiences include conducting choral societies/chamber choirs/orchestras/brass bands and many years of orchestral playing as a violinist/violist and trombone player. Also principal euphonium player with the British Aerospace (Bristol) concert band and also played in Championship contests with other bands. Apart from my wife and family, my other great loves are trains and railways and gardening.
