You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.This transcription of the complete K581 Mozart clarinet quintet for 5 clarinets, originally for solo clarinet and string quartet works well, but pushes most of the players to their limit. All parts need at least grade 7 and clarinet 2 in some ways is more difficult than the solo part. The solo part is not quite identical to that in the string version as passages of double stopping in the original strings means that some of the notes have had to be taken on additionally by the solo clarinet (clarinet 1) but this are clearly marked. ideally for 3 x Bb, 1 x Eb Alto and 1 x Bass Bb. As Bass instruments in A are not generally available the whole quintet has been transposed up a semitone to suit Bb and Eb clarinets.
