You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.I've often been asked for standard versions of The Lone Ar-ranger!, and am happy to provide them, when requested.
It's easy to assume that a string ensemble wishing to play the String Quartet version would use the regular combination of Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, and Cello.
However, I was emailed by a string specialist from Tallinn, the capital of Estonia - and where I'd spent a couple of days last year on a European journey that took me through Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Belgium and the UK.
Her request was straightforward enough! Do I have a version for 2 Violins + 2 Cellos? - i.e. where the Viola part would be taken by the second cello. The viola is an octave higher than the cello, so this did mean some rearranging, here and there, but this is always something I like to do, so that every version has a couple of subtle differences somewhere in the score.
Of course, there probably aren't going to be many other 2+2 string ensembles out there, but at least Jana now has what she was after!
