You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. The Lone Ar-ranger has been around for some seventeen or so years, and I've made numerous versions of it, for all sorts of combinations, large and small - usually following an email contact from someone looking for a specific, bespoke arrangement.
While I always make arrangements for Wind Quintet, and for Quartets of instruments, like flutes, or clarinets, I'd never produced one for a woodwind quartet as such - Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, and Bassoon.
A short while back, flute expert and teacher, Jill Shepherd from York, contacted me to ask if I would make such an arrangement for her to play.
Whenever I make any arrangement now, I always try to make each one unique in some way or other, and consequently there are a few little tweaks and additions in this new version, particularly in the bassoon part, which haven't all apeared before at the same time.
Note Performer 3 software has recently been updated, and, I think it does a very good job of 'playing' this woodwind version! Hopefully, though, Jill and friends will soon be performing it live, in and around the York area.
Since adding the piece to her Quartet's repertoire, Jill has preferred to play some passages an octave higher where, because her other players are strong, this works well.
I have made specific mention of her suggestions in the Full Score, though the attached mp3 file represents the original part.
