This tune was composed for the words ’Stars of the morning, so gloriously bright’, and first sung (a few minutes later!) at Mass for the Feast of St Michael & All Angels on 29th September, 2013 at St Matthew’s Bethnal Green.

I have revised the tune in triple time to obviate the need for different rhythms in different verses to accommodate the stresses of the text. I have also added a descant and special organ part (which may be played with/without the descant being sung) for the last verse.
