This noble tune is set to two fine texts in the New English Hymnal and the last verses of both of these hymns are included with this arrangement.

It is possible to perform this arrangement in two ways:

Either/

with the sopranos singing the descant, the rest of the choir and the congregation singing the melody, and the organ playing the accompaniment

Or/

with all the singers singing the melody and the organ playing the accompaniment.
