This Fanfare is an arrangement of the French traditional Christmas/Easter carol Noel nouvelet (Now the green blade riseth) for exuberant pianist, mixed winds and bass guitar (the latter is optional, and can play from the full score). At its climax it modulates briefly into ’Jesus Christ is risen today’(Easter Hymn). My arrangement reflects the instruments we had available this Easter (2006); but it could be adapted - and extended - to include any combination, with keyboard.
