Welcome to the late Martin Watson's Music.
Dr Martin Watson Ph.D died suddenly of a short agressive cancer in 2021 leaving behind a young family who are very proud of his achievements. Martin's children are both now studying music and both talk of careers in the subject. He would have been glowing with pride at their passion for performing and composing; and of their wide musical tastes ranging from folk music to progressive rock to Haydn symphonies.
We would absolutely love to hear of any performances of his work - as very little was performed during his lifetime. If you have any recordings - particularly of his original works, we would be delighted to hear them.

Here is what Martin wrote on his Score Exchange shop:
Here you will find some of my compositions plus many arrangements of Medieval and Renaissance dance music, folk-music from the British Isles, blues and jazz, Christmas music, national anthems, wedding music and music for classroom music making.
If you would like me to compose or arrange something for an ensemble or event you organise, then please contact me.
I have a Ph.D in composition from The University of Leeds. My compositions have been selected by the SPNM reading panel to be performed at a couple of Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festivals and also at the Aldeburgh Festival. I have also had music performed by members of The London Mozart Players and selected from a call for pieces for performance at the Contemporary Music for All (CoMA) summer school.
