Concerto Grosso No.1 by Martin Watson is a Neo-Baroque composition for flute, oboe, strings and harpsichord. The concerto begins with an introductory Andante e larghetto which soon segues into a roller-coaster ride for the Allegro ma non troppo. The yearning Lento is very much of the lachrymae kind; and this is followed by a finale which combines elements of both fugato and dissonant minimalism.
