Programme Notes: The Sting In The Tail is a composition in a medieval style by Martin Watson for recorder ensemble. The piece is made up of several different sections of music, with the opening passage returning to form a kind of rondo. This opening music is also the basis for a florid display passage for descant and treble recorders.
