You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.Arrangement of this traditional carol is based on the traditional 19th century choral harmonization by Edward L. Stauff, but has a nice, modern rock feel that would suit an enthusiastic high school band teaming up with a pop choir for Christmas.
There are parts for descant recorder (or easy guitar/C melody), lead guitar is played in 7th position to suit players progressing up the neck. There are two harmony parts for guitars in single notes, a two part fingerstyle descant, bass guitar and drums. There are also TAB parts for lead guitar, fingerstyle guitar solo and bass guitar. Other parts have note name noteheads.
Ding Dong Merrily On High evolved from a secular dance tune by Thoinot Arbeau, 1588, into a Christmas song. The tune first appeared as Bransle l’Officiale in the Orchsographie, a dance book written by Jehan Tabourot (1519-1593).
