A simple chant-like Kyrie for general liturgical use over an ostinato bass. The solo (cantor) part can be sung by soprano(treble) or tenor/baritone, though it could if necessary be replaced by an instrument, or even omitted altogether. Although I have indicated dynamics within the accompanying SATB chant, it should be quiet overall, with the solo part’s pleas penetratingly (albeit decorously!) loud.
