Glynn Davies
Australia
Born in 1973 in Melbourne, Australia, Glynn was encouraged at a young age by musical parents to learn the cello. After finishing school in 1991 and receiving successive "A" grades in cello for the seven grades established by the Australian Music Examinations Board, Glynn went on to form a music printing and publishing service from home as well as working part time in the Victorian Music Library (see link below). He also set up a string quartet, known as the "Essential Strings", to play at weddings, parties, anniversaries, birthdays and other functions, and in March 2002 recorded a Demo CD for the group, a copy of which can be made available to anyone who would like one.
To date Glynn has arranged more than 500 pieces for his string quartet, some of which appear on this site. In addition, Glynn still edits and prints his own and many other peoples' arrangements and original compositions, using the latest version of the Sibelius software.
Glynn is currently working on re-arranging some of the pieces that appear on this site (and a lot that don't) for other ensembles, such as Sax Quartets, and also Horn Quartets. If you see any pieces here you would like arranged for your particular ensemble, or indeed if you have some others in mind not listed here, please feel free to contact me. Glynn is always happy to arrange anything for anyone.
So if you would like me to arrange any of the pieces below for your brass or woodwind group, feel free to email me and let me know.
