You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.'Three Faces of the Moon' was written at the request of Jane Carter for two Flutes students between Grades 7-8. The work is based on moon themes from 'A Midsummer Nights Dream.' The first movement evokes the sinister image of the moon with the goddess 'Hecate.' This is a haunting waltz with a chromatic theme. The harmony is based on a cycle of minor 3rd (as is the other movement in which the interval of a 3rd is very important) This movement run straight into the 2nd, Artemis. The work was first performed in Egham by Louise Taylor, Ruth Hopkins and G.Bunce (later Orchestrated)
