You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.When I was a student at the RCM, a friend of mine, who, like me, had a real weakness for romantic piano concertos, first introduced me to the music of Sergei Bortkiewicz, a Russian-born Romantic composer and pianist of Polish ancestry who obtained Austrian citizenship in 1925.
His music is eminently romantic and luscious, and this quite substantial second sonata is particularly so. It hasn't got the depth of Rachmaninov, but it still has some lovely tunes along the way!
