The theme from Elgar's Pomp and Circumstrance Military March, Op. 39, No.1 has long been a staple of graduation ceremonies throughout the United States. Here the theme is democratically rotated among the four members of the quartet. The harmonies are simple enough for elementary students to handle. The piece may be repeated as many times as needed with an optional coda for a fuller finish.
