La "danza delle libellule" è un'operetta in due atti di Franz Lehár e di Carlo Lombardo, rappresentata per la prima volta a Milano il 3 maggio 1922. La storia ci porta al castello di Nancy e al ricco Piper che, dopo essersi appropriato del castello e del titolo di Duca, decide di mettere in scena nel salone una commedia da lui scritta, anche per corteggiare la bella Elena, vedova Cliquot. Piper decide di coinvolgere in questa recita anche i suoi amici Pommery e Monsieur Grattin, con le rispettive mogli Carlotta e Tutù. Al gruppo si aggiunge anche Bouquet Blum, un simpatico attore disoccupato in cerca di un ingaggio…………..

The "dance of dragonflies" is an operetta in two acts by Franz Lehár and Carlo Lombardo, performed for the first time in Milan on May 3, 1922. The story takes us to the castle of Nancy and to the rich Piper who, after having appropriated the castle and the title of Duke, decides to stage a play written by him in the hall, also to woo the beautiful Elena, widow Cliquot… . Piper decides to involve his friends Pommery and Monsieur Grattin in this play, with their respective wives Carlotta and Tutù. Bouquet Blum also joins the group, a nice unemployed actor looking for an engagement……..
