"Butter-Whipped Wraiths" is the third solo classical piece in the "Wraiths" series, NOT to be confused with any of my other sinister series, that pay tribute to Fiends (not friends) and other horrible beasts of the night and to the marvelous influences, much to many's dismay and chagrin, they have had on my person and my composing.

"Butter-Whipped Wraiths" is a 2:3 polyrhythmic octatonic piece. It modulates between E and A-centered tonalities, but neither wins in the end. The coda is a fade-away repeat which hints at both A and E tonalities but favors neither.

The 32nd note figures with all the bass slurs will require special care and attention. I've worked out what I thought to be clever fingerings, but perhaps you will do better.

Though the "Wraiths" pieces share little thematic material yet make the same sinister and haunting aura about them. I sincerely hope that you enjoy this piece as well as the other "Wraiths" pieces.
