She asked that the lyrics be specifically for a wedding, not general. She also wanted a tune that most people would know. We sang this arrangement and it went very well, even though the congregation numbered only about 10 people.
Purchase of this Piano/Vocal score gives permission for use in a wedding and also gives permission to make multiple copies of a lead sheet for congregational singing. Different versions of the lead sheet are provided, depending on the size needed and whether chords are included.
Note: There are innumerable versions of O WALY WALY. It is a folk song that has been around for hundreds of years. This version is my compilation of my favorite bits from many versions. It is not the same as "Gift of Love," and will not work with arrangements of that tune. This tune is sometimes known as, "The Water is Wide."
