Written with young cadets in mind both as players and audience, this piece is intended to be simple, fun, and celebratory – a good selection for a first promotion or graduation. The harmony is mostly concentrated in the A and B parts, while the bass line is focused in the D part. The C part, though less important, still fills in small gaps in the harmony, and should be used as well, if possible.
