Originally recorded on the album " Sonates n°1 et 2 pour guitare à 7 cordes, Diaphane" (Arnito, 2022)

- About "Sonate n°1" This triptych was written in autumn-winter 2020, during a residency at the Abbaye de la Prée, in a rural area from center of France. This specific period was marked by the covid-19 pandemic, the global insecurity feeling and multiple questionning towards our past, present and future. A lockdown was going on at that time.

Soldat de plomb is a very contextual piece, built in a "zapping" mode. This disturbing zapping is unfortunatelly representative of our overbusy western way of life, associated with the development of new technologies, social medias, mass information and consuming. It's becoming really hard to focus and to distinguish truth and lie. The main military theme of this piece evocates the way our individual actions are marked and influenced by external decisions : our governments, the global system, the talk of our real and virtual surrounding.
