- About "Sonate n°1"
This triptych was written in autumn-winter 2020, during a residency at the Abbaye de la Prée, in a rural area from center of France. This specific period was marked by the covid-19 pandemic, the global insecurity feeling and multiple uestionning towards our past, present and future. A lockdown was going on at that time.
"Décembre" is a contemplative movement. I tried to express both the sadness of watching all the colours of life fading, and at the same time this feeling of acceptance : because we don't have any choice but accepting the nature rules.
