This music is really marvellous. It is full baroque, but it gives all parties opportunity to vary notes in all ways: all sorts or ornaments, changements in tempo or loudness and/or adding all sorts of feeling. The playback of sibelius therefore sounds much to dry and feelingless to get to fully appreciate this music.

I've just spend an hour on the internet to learn something about Johann Scherer. I found absolutely nothing, except the words "about 1740". Maybe someone who reads these words can tell me more about him..?
