Until then you only played songs in four beats (quaternary signature). The 3/4 time signature (ternary) is very common in our culture. Have you ever danced a Waltz or seen someone dancing? Each step of this dance marks the first beat of a three-measure. Here, you will play a four-bar musical phrase where each has three beats. Don't forget to play three beats for each dotted half note. Additionally, you will expand the intervals between notes beyond seconds and thirds. I introduce to you the fourth interval between the notes C to F and D to G.
