Commissioned by Edward Clark for premiere at the St Petersburg International Festival of British Music in 2011, and premiered by the St Petersburg Chamber Choir conducted by Nikolai Korniev. This piece is for 40 solo voices - divided into 5 choirs - and was performed alongside the well-known motet by Thomas Tallis 'Spem In Alium', and sets words by the 17th century poet John Wilmot, the infamous Earl of Rochester who was a friend of King Charles II of England.
