The author is Guido Gezelle, one of our greatest sensual Flemish poets of the 19 th century. It's the wonderful description of a cold misty morning in winter, between darkness and light in a landscape with an avenue full of trees. You could hardly observe them, but it seems that all these trees are crying! It should be fantastic to get an English version. Who could translate this Dutch poetry? The MP3 file is a recording from a CD with Sylvie De Pauw, soprano and Joost Vanmaele, piano.
