To met new people and know that at the end of the vacation you must say goodby to each other? This piece is what it all goes about: the memory of a nice meeting somewhere on earth. After a short introduction the clarinet has a legato melody which the piano will take over solo in the middle part. You could play with much freedom in the tempi. It's just like talking with somebody. You can hear this rubato playing in the MP3 file with the Belgian clarinettist Henri De Roeck while I play the piano part.If you like this piece, that I've written some 15 years ago originally based on a piano piece from 1979. Remember your good holidays wherever it took place!
