Born in Buxiéres-les-Mines, 1862. Died in Paris, 1923. French composer and conductor. He studied music at the Paris Conservatoire with Théodore Dubois, César an Jules Massenet. He became a opera and theater conductor. He also conducted at the Monte Carlo casino for many years. He composed over 200 works, mainly opera, comic opera, balletmusic, marches and mazurkas.
