Louis Stanislas Xavier Verroust is an oboist and composer French born 10 May 1814 in Hazebrouck and died 11 April 1863 in the same city. he was professor at Gymnasium military musical and bandmaster of the 2nd Legion of the National Guard in 1848 and the Imperial Chapel in 1853. He composed many pieces for his instrument: twelve solos for concert , many of whom are enrolled in the final round of the first prize for oboe conservatory, fantasies and variations on bright air of operas known at the time.
