You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.I wanted to record a vocal for this before uploading, but illness intervened, so that will have to wait for now. I assigned the melody to flute (S/T)and countermelody to clarinet (A/B)
This song is a personal affirmation and I have tried to take a simple melody - conveying innocence - and gradually bring it through richer orchestration to ripeness, maturity and the quiet strength of knowledge. The string writing is textural and intended to reflect the words(yes, I admit I was influenced by On Wenlock Edge - and other examples of the English string tradition)
I would genuinely love to hear it performed by a choir and string group someday, although my intention when well enough is to record it myself as a solo with backing vocals.
