I used to play in the famous Jones and Crossland band in Birmingham and this was vitually the bands signature tune, although with Roy Curran conducting it went somewhat faster than here. Its a great piece for brass, though originally written by John Bull for the keyboard. The tempo of the piece is something of a contentious issue, I have heard it played quite sedately on the keyboard, or like a bat out of hell alla J&C band - ah happy days. Hope you enjoy - constructive reviews please.
