Written in 1893, this was one of Brahms last works. It is a delightful piece that manages to combine the delicacy he so admired in Mozart with some gorgeous Romantic harmonies. There are some intricate 3 against 2 rhythms to play with as well.

Guitar 1 is undoubtedly quite difficult and uses a lot of high range notes. As most classical guitars finish with fret 18, the high C would have to be played with an artificial harmonic. TAB is given to help with fingering, but is not the only solution, so if you prefer a TAB free version, one is provided in the parts available.
