These arrangements are for performance and are very precise. Guitar quartets are enormous fun especially as there is so little ensemble music for guitar that is easy to play but also rewarding to listen to. The technical level of each guitar part is not challenging so on a good day you could get something worth listening to in an hour. "In dulci jubilo" (Latin for "In sweet rejoicing") is a traditional Christmas Carol. Johann Sebastian Bach set this melody several times. This arrangement of BWW 368 follows almost exactly the four original voices from the chorale. It is not difficult to play but be careful with the rhythm; it’s not always as straightforward as you think.
