At Christmas time, what better way of spending a winter’s evening than getting 2 pianos / keyboards together, pouring yourselves some Christmas cheer, and enjoying some two piano Christmas pleasure in the form of this reworking of the beautiful carol "God Rest You Merry Gentlemen". After playing this one, I hope you will take a look at my other music for 4 hands (including some more carol variations) too. This arrangement for 2 pianos consists of 4 variations, the last of which is a short fugue. You don’t need to be be fantastic pianists; it is hoped that this will bring some joy for any who are fortunate to have 2 pianos, and if you’ve only got one, then borrow a keyboard from the neighbours and use that. It’s Christmas after all!
