This is a book of 18 numbered songs and exercises for 2 octave handbell team. I wrote it for use with our primary 6 bellringing team (ages 9/10) but it would also suit any community bell team as a teaching tool for beginner ringers.

In our team, we play from 8 stands so C5 is written in the bass clef and played along with B4. This leaves the player at stand 6 with only D5 or D#5 to play - so this is a good position for a new player or a pupil who prefers to focus on just one bell.

This arrangement exactly matches up with our school orchestra arrangement of the same songs. Follow the link above (next to "related scores") to have a look to see if you might add some other instruments e.g. violins, recorders, piano or percussion. You can print off parts from the orchestra arrangement and mix and match to enhance your bell team’s performance at the school concert and showcase the talent in your own school.
